Powering the Guangdong-Macao New Channel Border Post

Our dealer, Asia Pacific Power Electric (APPE), have been involved in a project to provide over 6000 kVA of critical backup power to support a border crossing checkpoint linking Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) and the mainland’s Guangdong Province.
Operating 24/7 the new border clearance facility, known as Qingmao Checkpoint, is located in Zhuai City in Guangdong and spans an area of approx. 140,000 square metres. With a capacity to handle 200,000 people daily, passenger clearance takes only 20 seconds and will ensure a convenient, efficient and orderly flow of personnel across the border. The self service customs clearance is expected to effectively ease the customs clearance pressure on the nearby Border Gate Checkpoint.
